Sleeping

It seems I was sleeping when she came.

A kiss in the night air left me dreaming

Of the most amazing things.

In the morning I had that glow,

Reminding me of the ancient spring;

I had that flow,

Rippling through my hand

Into all things.

My heart, blessed with the taste of ripened fruit,

Crisp and sweet; what could be more beautiful?

Now, in this moment,

Wondering…

Wondering where all this leads

And knowing it will all be all right.

I feel so grateful.
